Edwardian Platinum and Diamond Heart Brooch
An absolutely exquisite and impressively proportioned (1 3/8 by 1 1/4 inch) puffed heart brooch/pendant, masterfully hand crafted in platinum and 18K yellow gold, circa 1915-1920. The phenomenal open work top, centering on a stylized flower or four-leaf clover motif, sparkles all over with 2.75 carats of bright white European-cut diamonds. The reverse is adorned with a ridged border and a glass display back to highlight the magnificent workmanship. A cleverly recessing necklace bale makes for a very versatile and thoroughly ravishing and romantic Edwardian treasure.
