ABOUT THIS RING

Old mine Colombian emeralds, from the long exhausted Muzo mines, with their deep rich coloration, are considered the finest in the world, and the one that crowns this simple, yet stunning, original Art Deco ring from the 1920's does not disappoint. The gorgeous, glorious green gem stone, weighing 2.30 carats, gleams unaccompanied in a hand fabricated platinum mounting thoroughly hand-engraved with a classic stylized wheat pattern. A rare singular beauty. Accompanied by gemological report from the AGL (American Gemological Laboratories) stating: Minor traditional-oil or wax, Colombia origin. Currently ring size 5 1/2. (Of all gemstones, photos can't begin to capture the depth of color and brightness of emeralds, and the highly magnified photography exaggerates the inclusions. Thus you'll be pleasantly surprised when you see it in person!)

About Art Deco Jewelry

Sleek and modern, Art Deco design brought jewelry into the machine age. Yet these stylish pieces still found room for the fine forms and lines of previous eras within their elegant architecture. In particular, we see many peaceful co-habitations of Edwardian and Art Deco styles together.

Jewelry Care

As with anything of value, especially sentimental value, taking good care of your vintage and antique jewelry from Lang will enhance its beauty and extend its lifespan. We encourage you to have your jewelry checked and cleaned by us or by your trusted local jeweler every six months, to ensure that each piece is in good wearable condition with all gemstones in place. It’s not uncommon for stones to loosen over time, and it’s much easier to tighten a loose stone than to replace a lost one! As stated in our Repair Policy, we strongly recommend that you allow us to perform any repairs, since our jewelers are specialists in restoring vintage and antique jewelry.
