The name ‘rock crystal’ is based on the Greek word for ice, krystallos. Frosted ice is the perfect way to describe this lovely oval plaque, carved on the reverse with a sun ray design and encircled with lace-like scalloped filigree work. Punctuated at its center with single glittering diamond, this Art Deco era jewel suspends from its 16-inch chain via an ornamental bail. In 14K gold. Pendant measures 3/4 by 1 7/16 inches.
