ABOUT THIS RING

Weighing 4.48 carats, few Colombian emeralds glisten and glow with the crystalline green intensity of this magnificent estate jewel, hand fabricated in platinum during the last quarter of the 20th century. The voluptuous pear shaped gemstone is artfully presented on the diagonal and is embellished on top with a sparkling spray composed of small bright-white baguette, marquise and round diamonds. Although made later, this gorgeous and impressive bauble is evocative of the glamorous jewels of Golden Age Hollywood. Currently ring size 6 1/4.

About Estate Jewelry

Though it calls to mind grand manor houses in the English countryside, “estate” is just a fancy way of describing any piece of jewelry with a previous owner. That’s pretty much everything in our collection. We tend to use “estate” to refer to pieces in our collection with a more modern or contemporary design, or vintage-inspired designs. These perennial gems are selected in harmony with our original antique and vintage pieces…they’re just a little bit younger!

Jewelry Care

As with anything of value, especially sentimental value, taking good care of your vintage and antique jewelry from Lang will enhance its beauty and extend its lifespan. We encourage you to have your jewelry checked and cleaned by us or by your trusted local jeweler every six months, to ensure that each piece is in good wearable condition with all gemstones in place. It’s not uncommon for stones to loosen over time, and it’s much easier to tighten a loose stone than to replace a lost one! As stated in our Repair Policy, we strongly recommend that you allow us to perform any repairs, since our jewelers are specialists in restoring vintage and antique jewelry.
