ABOUT THIS RING

King Edward VIII abdicated the throne to marry American socialite Wallis Simpson, the average house price in America was $550.00, Robert Redford was born, and sunscreen was invented...all in 1936. It also must have been a significant year for the owner of this ring; instead of being engraved inside the ring shank, the date is emblazoned on the surface of a gleaming onyx plaque set in an ornamental filigree mounting, finished with decorative engraving. Perhaps this is your year. If not, it's a sure conversation starter. Die struck in 14K white gold, currently size 7 1/2.

About Art Deco Jewelry

Sleek and modern, Art Deco design brought jewelry into the machine age. Yet these stylish pieces still found room for the fine forms and lines of previous eras within their elegant architecture. In particular, we see many peaceful co-habitations of Edwardian and Art Deco styles together.

Jewelry Care

As with anything of value, especially sentimental value, taking good care of your vintage and antique jewelry from Lang will enhance its beauty and extend its lifespan. We encourage you to have your jewelry checked and cleaned by us or by your trusted local jeweler every six months, to ensure that each piece is in good wearable condition with all gemstones in place. It’s not uncommon for stones to loosen over time, and it’s much easier to tighten a loose stone than to replace a lost one! As stated in our Repair Policy, we strongly recommend that you allow us to perform any repairs, since our jewelers are specialists in restoring vintage and antique jewelry.
