Victorian Enamel Diamond Natural Pearl Snake Bracelet
Here is a splendid example of an original nineteenth century snake bracelet on which countless copies were based during the 1960s. The lithe and supple scaled bracelet is handcrafted in richly textured, hand-engraved 18K yellow gold and is 'strikingly' adorned with cobalt blue and white enamel. His/her head is opulently ornamented with lustrous and sizable natural pearls, glittering old mine-cut diamonds and cabochon garnet eyes, and the literal 'tongue' clasp fastens right between its numerous golden fangs. A desirable and dramatic Victorian serpent bracelet traditionally symbolic of eternity.
