ABOUT THIS BRACELET

A unique and exotically stunning early Art Deco bar pin (circa 1915), featuring a truly magnificent Lightening Ridge black opal, has been ingeniously repurposed (and inexplicably curved) to overlay this eminently more wearable 14 karat bangle bracelet (dating from the mid-20th-century). The enchanting and enchanted gemstone glistens and glows with a spectacular swirling profusion of electric rainbow colors, from cool pastel blues and greens to fiery oranges. The truly breathtaking Art Deco design rendered in 18K yellow gold, artfully incorporates small rich green triangular emeralds, a pair of brilliant red scissor-cut rubies, tiny lustrous seed pearls, and a pair of tiny diamond twinklers, all arrayed over a rigorously detailed neoclassically embossed frame for a marvelous and majestic effect. Magnifique! Condition note: two of the green stones are glass. Opal has crazing. Oval shape, 7 inches inside measurement.

About Mid-Century Jewelry

Mid-Century jewelers gave the Victorians a run for their money when it came to variety—with the added bonus of big, bold gems in every shape, size, and color. Themes of previous eras were made fabulous enough to match the optimism of the post-war world. Transitional pieces bridged the gap between the first and second half of the 20th century.

Jewelry Care

As with anything of value, especially sentimental value, taking good care of your vintage and antique jewelry from Lang will enhance its beauty and extend its lifespan. We encourage you to have your jewelry checked and cleaned by us or by your trusted local jeweler every six months, to ensure that each piece is in good wearable condition with all gemstones in place. It’s not uncommon for stones to loosen over time, and it’s much easier to tighten a loose stone than to replace a lost one! As stated in our Repair Policy, we strongly recommend that you allow us to perform any repairs, since our jewelers are specialists in restoring vintage and antique jewelry.
