Although crafted in gilded metal, here is one of the most unusual, ingeniously designed and engineered Victorian pendant lockets we've ever come across (and Victorian lockets are one of our specialties). Created by William Devenport of the United Kingdom, circa 1900, and measuring a striking 1 7/8 inches, the top half hinges downward to reveal twin locket compartments, while the bottom opens to reveal a container or pillbox. A collectible keepsake artfully hand-engraved on both sides. The classic Victorian gold-filled chain measures 18 inches.
