ABOUT THIS BROOCH

Just in the off chance that you or your significant other manage, or aspire to manage, a hedge fund, then this wonderful, whimsical, spiny fine fella is just for you! (And you can easily afford it!) Measuring 1 3/4 inches from nose tip to tail, his beautiful coat glistens and glows with an array of marquise shape golden sapphires, whilst his (mane?), head, snout, feet and tail sparkle with bright-white marquise and small round diamonds. A marquise emerald eye keeps vigilant watch. Fabricated in rich 18K yellow gold.

A hedgehog is any of the spiny mammals of the subfamily Erinaceinae, in the eulipotyphlan family Erinaceidae. There are seventeen species of hedgehog in five genera found through parts of Europe, Asia, and Africa, and in New Zealand by introduction. (Courtesy of Wikipedia of course)

About Estate Jewelry

Though it calls to mind grand manor houses in the English countryside, “estate” is just a fancy way of describing any piece of jewelry with a previous owner. That’s pretty much everything in our collection. We tend to use “estate” to refer to pieces in our collection with a more modern or contemporary design, or vintage-inspired designs. These perennial gems are selected in harmony with our original antique and vintage pieces…they’re just a little bit younger!

Jewelry Care

As with anything of value, especially sentimental value, taking good care of your vintage and antique jewelry from Lang will enhance its beauty and extend its lifespan. We encourage you to have your jewelry checked and cleaned by us or by your trusted local jeweler every six months, to ensure that each piece is in good wearable condition with all gemstones in place. It’s not uncommon for stones to loosen over time, and it’s much easier to tighten a loose stone than to replace a lost one! As stated in our Repair Policy, we strongly recommend that you allow us to perform any repairs, since our jewelers are specialists in restoring vintage and antique jewelry.
