Antique Russian Emerald And Diamond Necklace
Vintage emeralds of Russian origin are fairly scarce, and this 2.60 carat bright crystalline green specimen centers an equally exotic pendant (because we can't figure out its origin). The possibly, Russian, possibly European, possibly Middle Eastern jewel, measuring 1 9/16 inches long and lovely, is hand fabricated in silver over rose gold and glitters throughout with tiny rose-cut diamonds. Circa late 19th century/turn-of-the-last-century. The darkened silver chain measures 18 inches. Accompanied by a Stone Group Laboratory Gemological Report stating: Origin - Russia, evidence of clarity enhancement.
