Vintage Danish Sterling Silver Necklace by Bent Knudsen
$795.00
Danish Modernist silversmith, Bent Knudsen*, is known for his highly distinctive and recognizable style. In this striking choker, stylized waves (or fins) of brightly gleaming sterling silver link together creating an undulating motion around the neckline. An eye-catching and collectible conversation piece. Hand fabricated in silver in Denmark and signed, "BentK." Measures 16 1/4 inches. * Bent Knudsen (1924-1996) and his wife Anni started a silversmithy in 1956. He was trained as a silversmith at C.M. Cohr's in Fredericia where the work was based on craftsmanship. Eventually, he established his own workshop where he created jewelry in a simple and clear style, often together with his wife. In later years, he was one of the most sought after maker/designers on the vintage market.
