ABOUT THIS JEWELRY

You can continue telling time in the current slovenly fashion by glancing at your cell phone, or step back in time to the more genteel, chic, and sophisticated days of yore - the 1930s Jazz Age, in which gentlemen of distinction (that would be you) sported tuxedos for decadent dinners at home, sipped apéritifs and cordials from crystal stemware, and announced 'dinner is served' whilst consulting a diamond-edged platinum Patek Phillipe pocket watch and diamond-set chain such as this consummate exemplar of elegance and quality:

Case dimensions: 43.5mm diameter by 6.9mm thick. Original untouched silver dial with brush finish, applied Breguet style arabic numerals, embossed minutes chapter, subsidiary seconds dial with concentric guilloche. Original pomme style minutes and hours hand and seconds hand. Dial signed PATEK, PHILIPPE & Cie GENEVA, SWITZERLAND Movement is pristine and running, has 18 jewels and has 8 adjustments. Movement is signed PATEK, PHILIPPE & CO. GENEVA SWITZERLAND The Cowell & Hubbard Co. Cleveland Ohio. 2.00 carats total diamond weight. Circa 1930-1935

About Art Deco Jewelry

Sleek and modern, Art Deco design brought jewelry into the machine age. Yet these stylish pieces still found room for the fine forms and lines of previous eras within their elegant architecture. In particular, we see many peaceful co-habitations of Edwardian and Art Deco styles together.

Jewelry Care

As with anything of value, especially sentimental value, taking good care of your vintage and antique jewelry from Lang will enhance its beauty and extend its lifespan. We encourage you to have your jewelry checked and cleaned by us or by your trusted local jeweler every six months, to ensure that each piece is in good wearable condition with all gemstones in place. It’s not uncommon for stones to loosen over time, and it’s much easier to tighten a loose stone than to replace a lost one! As stated in our Repair Policy, we strongly recommend that you allow us to perform any repairs, since our jewelers are specialists in restoring vintage and antique jewelry.
