ABOUT THIS RING

Whee--this ring is one wild ride! Not surprising, considering it hails from the 1960s, a time of super creativity and all sorts of experimentation. In this bold and bodacious bauble, the uncommon combination of cabochon rubies and cat's eye chrysoberyl, along with round brilliant diamonds, are "woven" into a lattice-like dome crowned with a glowing, cherry-red 3.72 bullet (a.k.a. sugarloaf) cabochon ruby surrounded by a glittering diamond halo. Wow! The crisscross shank is a perfect complement. Gorgeous--in a groovy kind of way. Total ruby weight 6.72 carats, total diamond weight .75 carat. Center ruby accompanied by a gemological report from Stone Group Laboratories stating: Evidence of Heat Treatment with Residues, Burma origin. In 18K and 14K gold, diamonds set in platinum. Currently ring size 6.

As with anything of value, especially sentimental value, taking good care of your vintage and antique jewelry from Lang will enhance its beauty and extend its lifespan. We encourage you to have your jewelry checked and cleaned by us or by your trusted local jeweler every six months, to ensure that each piece is in good wearable condition with all gemstones in place. It’s not uncommon for stones to loosen over time, and it’s much easier to tighten a loose stone than to replace a lost one! As stated in our Repair Policy, we strongly recommend that you allow us to perform any repairs, since our jewelers are specialists in restoring vintage and antique jewelry.
