An ancient Greek coin (circa 4th Century B.C.), depicting a dolphin rider, is artfully displayed in this chic Bulgari-esque necklace, beautiful crafted in 18K yellow gold and embellished with 18 small sparkling white diamonds on top. From NGC (Numismatic Guaranty Corporation) website: The 'boy on dolphin': There is no scholarly consensus on the identity of this individual, though most believe it is either Taras, a son of the god Poseidon who survived a shipwreck by being rescued by a dolphin, or Phalanthus, the legendary founder of Taras. 19 1/2 inches plus pendant.
