Art Deco 1.50 Carat Diamond and Synthetic Sapphire Ring
10-1-14151
ABOUT THIS RING
Sometimes you need a welcomed-- and beautiful--distraction. We are happy to oblige with this exquisite and utterly alluring Art Deco ring from the 1920s. Starring a crisply sparkling 1.50 carat European-cut diamond, the ring abounds with pretty details from every angle that make it difficult to look away. The dazzling center stone is set against a rectangular backdrop of pierced horizontal rows set with deep blue calibre-cut synthetic* sapphires and embellished at each corner with small 'fans' glittering with bright single-cut diamonds. The gently flared shoulders twinkle with single-cuts, while a graceful scroll design on the side gallery provides curvaceous contrast to the overall geometry of this distinctive Jazz Age jewel. It's OK to get lost in it. Total diamond weight - 1.85 carats, total synthetic sapphire weight - 1.00 carat. *Original to the piece and to the period, synthetic sapphires were used for their flawless clarity and color consistency. Hand fabricated in platinum, currently ring size 6 3/4.
