ABOUT THIS RING

This utterly stunning Edwardian/Art Deco dazzler, starring a sweet and luscious (and gorgeous) gemmy sugarloaf cabochon emerald, weighing 2.20 carats, is a magnificent mystery. The stunning gemstone (accompanied by gemological report from the AGL stating: Insignificant clarity enhancement - Colombian origin) is enveloped all around by 2.60 carats of ultra-sparkling European-cut diamonds, outlined by an undulating frame of tiny twinkling single-cut diamonds. (There is nary any room left to add another stone!). The mystery lies in the fact that the ornately hand-engraved under gallery and ring shank were evidently added at a later date, either replacing the timeworn original or transforming the crown from another type of jewel (a small brooch or necklace clasp perhaps). However, we'll never know, thus this fabulous vintage confection comes with its own riddle (at no extra charge ;). 1 1/8-inch long. Currently ring size 4 1/4.

About Art Deco Jewelry

Sleek and modern, Art Deco design brought jewelry into the machine age. Yet these stylish pieces still found room for the fine forms and lines of previous eras within their elegant architecture. In particular, we see many peaceful co-habitations of Edwardian and Art Deco styles together.

Jewelry Care

As with anything of value, especially sentimental value, taking good care of your vintage and antique jewelry from Lang will enhance its beauty and extend its lifespan. We encourage you to have your jewelry checked and cleaned by us or by your trusted local jeweler every six months, to ensure that each piece is in good wearable condition with all gemstones in place. It’s not uncommon for stones to loosen over time, and it’s much easier to tighten a loose stone than to replace a lost one! As stated in our Repair Policy, we strongly recommend that you allow us to perform any repairs, since our jewelers are specialists in restoring vintage and antique jewelry.
