ABOUT THIS BROOCH

Glowing with an irrepressible vibrant green*, the fabulous 9.25 carat cushion-cut emerald that centers this Jazz Age jewel is beautifully accented east and west by curvaceous flourishes, glittering with lively old mine and antique single-cut diamonds. Oh, where to pin it? Total diamond weight, 4.00 carats. Accompanied by a gemological report from the GIA stating: Clarity Enhanced, Colombia - Origin. Hand fabricated in platinum, circa 1920s-30s. *Of all gemstones, photos can't begin to capture the depth of color and brightness of emeralds, and the highly magnified photography exaggerates the inclusions. Thus it will appear even more delightful when you see it in person!

About Art Deco Jewelry

Sleek and modern, Art Deco design brought jewelry into the machine age. Yet these stylish pieces still found room for the fine forms and lines of previous eras within their elegant architecture. In particular, we see many peaceful co-habitations of Edwardian and Art Deco styles together.

Jewelry Care

As with anything of value, especially sentimental value, taking good care of your vintage and antique jewelry from Lang will enhance its beauty and extend its lifespan. We encourage you to have your jewelry checked and cleaned by us or by your trusted local jeweler every six months, to ensure that each piece is in good wearable condition with all gemstones in place. It’s not uncommon for stones to loosen over time, and it’s much easier to tighten a loose stone than to replace a lost one! As stated in our Repair Policy, we strongly recommend that you allow us to perform any repairs, since our jewelers are specialists in restoring vintage and antique jewelry.
