ABOUT THIS BROOCH

A marvelous mix of symmetry and asymmetry--along with accents of vibrant color--make this quintessential Art Deco brooch, masterfully hand in platinum, circa 1925, particularly fetching. Frosted with shimmering old mine-cut diamonds, a fancy rectangular shape frames a louvered 'canvas' that is divided by an ornamental diamond-set column. On each side, a floral motif of glittering diamonds and bright green pear and marquise-shaped cabochon jade stones are set in reverse orientation. Chic, sophisticated, and stunning. Your little black dress, jean jacket, hat, or scarf is waiting-- oh, the possibilities. 2 inches long. Total diamond weight, 3.80 carats. Pin stem is white gold. Accompanied by a gemological report from Stone Group Laboratories stating: Natural. No indications of polymers or dyes. Burma origin.

About Art Deco Jewelry

Sleek and modern, Art Deco design brought jewelry into the machine age. Yet these stylish pieces still found room for the fine forms and lines of previous eras within their elegant architecture. In particular, we see many peaceful co-habitations of Edwardian and Art Deco styles together.

Jewelry Care

As with anything of value, especially sentimental value, taking good care of your vintage and antique jewelry from Lang will enhance its beauty and extend its lifespan. We encourage you to have your jewelry checked and cleaned by us or by your trusted local jeweler every six months, to ensure that each piece is in good wearable condition with all gemstones in place. It’s not uncommon for stones to loosen over time, and it’s much easier to tighten a loose stone than to replace a lost one! As stated in our Repair Policy, we strongly recommend that you allow us to perform any repairs, since our jewelers are specialists in restoring vintage and antique jewelry.
