ABOUT THIS RING

This late-Art Deco delight, hand fabricated in platinum - circa 1930s - features a blueberry-blue round cabochon sapphire, weighing 1.60 carats, accented diagonally with a pair of gleaming white baguette diamonds and ribbons of sparkling white European-cut diamonds, all of which are embraced by vibrant royal blue, seamlessly-set French-cut calibre natural and synthetic* sapphires (about a 50/50 mix of natural and synthetic stones). A cool vintage jewel equally at home with blue jeans or blue satin. Total diamond weight, .72 carat. Currently ring size 4. *Original to the piece and to the period, synthetic sapphires were used for their flawless clarity and color consistency.

About Art Deco Jewelry

Sleek and modern, Art Deco design brought jewelry into the machine age. Yet these stylish pieces still found room for the fine forms and lines of previous eras within their elegant architecture. In particular, we see many peaceful co-habitations of Edwardian and Art Deco styles together.

Jewelry Care

As with anything of value, especially sentimental value, taking good care of your vintage and antique jewelry from Lang will enhance its beauty and extend its lifespan. We encourage you to have your jewelry checked and cleaned by us or by your trusted local jeweler every six months, to ensure that each piece is in good wearable condition with all gemstones in place. It’s not uncommon for stones to loosen over time, and it’s much easier to tighten a loose stone than to replace a lost one! As stated in our Repair Policy, we strongly recommend that you allow us to perform any repairs, since our jewelers are specialists in restoring vintage and antique jewelry.
