Art Deco Diamond and Synthetic Sapphire Dinner Ring
ABOUT THIS RING
Bold architectural geometry distinguishes this Art Deco dinner ring, hand fabricated in platinum during the zenith of the design period, irca 1925. A trio of bright icy-white European-cut diamonds, together weighing .80 carat, sparkle in tandem accented east and west by horizontal ribbons of rich royal blue synthetic* calibre sapphires, and on all sides by small glittering European-cut diamonds, bringing the total diamond weight to 1.25 carats. Measuring just shy of one inch long, this dynamic Jazz Age dazzler is further adorned with decorative piercing, delicate milgraining, and hand-engraved details. A fabulous finger-hugger. Currently ring size 7. *Back in the day, circa the 1920s-30s, because of their color consistency and flawless clarity, synthetic sapphires were considered a modern improvement over their natural counterparts, their virtually undetectable differences discernible only with a microscope.
