Edwardian 1.01 Carat Diamond Filigree Ring - GIA H SI2
ABOUT THIS RING
Masters of filigree, piercing, and all things light and lacey, Edwardian jewelers created some of the most fabulously feminine and intricately designed pieces of the early 20th century. This ring is one of them. Like decorative icing on a cake, the diamond-dotted mounting is a marvelous mix of looping scrolls, sweeping lines and striking negative space created by artful piercing, all rising to present a glorious, near-colorless 1.01 European-cut set in a bezel with triple-edge millegrain detail. Finely rendered engraving on the shoulders adds the finishing flourish to this extraordinary jewel. Total diamond weight, 1.19 carats. Accompanied by a GIA Grading Report stating: H - color, SI1 - clarity. Inside of band hand engraved with, "LGP." Die-struck in platinum - circa first or second decade of the twentieth century. Currently ring size 6.
