ABOUT THIS RING

We hate to part with this amazingly gorgeous, original Art Deco ruby and diamond ring - (but that's what we do for a living). A luscious, electric candy apple-red, square emerald-cut ruby, accompanied by an GIA certificate stating: no-heat - Burma origin, radiates from within a superb and stunning platinum and diamond ring - circa 1930. The gemmy 2.12 carat gemstone is embellished east and west with a sparkling champagne glass motif composed of a half-moon diamond and a pair of slender straight baguette diamonds; the north and south side shimmer with a small cascade of channel-set baguette diamonds, all of which are outlined with small round diamonds. Supreme! Size 5 1/2.

About Art Deco Jewelry

Sleek and modern, Art Deco design brought jewelry into the machine age. Yet these stylish pieces still found room for the fine forms and lines of previous eras within their elegant architecture. In particular, we see many peaceful co-habitations of Edwardian and Art Deco styles together.

Jewelry Care

As with anything of value, especially sentimental value, taking good care of your vintage and antique jewelry from Lang will enhance its beauty and extend its lifespan. We encourage you to have your jewelry checked and cleaned by us or by your trusted local jeweler every six months, to ensure that each piece is in good wearable condition with all gemstones in place. It’s not uncommon for stones to loosen over time, and it’s much easier to tighten a loose stone than to replace a lost one! As stated in our Repair Policy, we strongly recommend that you allow us to perform any repairs, since our jewelers are specialists in restoring vintage and antique jewelry.
