ABOUT THIS NECKLACE

Dating back to the second or third decade of 20th century France, this exquisite early-Art Deco delicacy, finely hand fabricated in platinum and studded with tiny twinkling rose and European-diamonds, highlights two pairs of lustrous gemstones: shimmering white cultured pearls (either later replacements or a very early use of them), and bright crystalline green cabochon emeralds dangling below. A chic and distinctively stunning Jazz Age jewel. Measures 16 1/2 inches. Emerald accompanied by a gemological report from Stone Group Laboratories stating: Evidence of clarity enhancement, Colombia - origin. Pearls accompanied by a gemological report from the GIA.

About Art Deco Jewelry

Sleek and modern, Art Deco design brought jewelry into the machine age. Yet these stylish pieces still found room for the fine forms and lines of previous eras within their elegant architecture. In particular, we see many peaceful co-habitations of Edwardian and Art Deco styles together.

Jewelry Care

As with anything of value, especially sentimental value, taking good care of your vintage and antique jewelry from Lang will enhance its beauty and extend its lifespan. We encourage you to have your jewelry checked and cleaned by us or by your trusted local jeweler every six months, to ensure that each piece is in good wearable condition with all gemstones in place. It’s not uncommon for stones to loosen over time, and it’s much easier to tighten a loose stone than to replace a lost one! As stated in our Repair Policy, we strongly recommend that you allow us to perform any repairs, since our jewelers are specialists in restoring vintage and antique jewelry.
