ABOUT THIS BROOCH

A cool and artsy mid-century brooch, influenced by nature and created in blackened steel and 18 karat white gold and dotted with twinkling white diamonds and one lustrous cultured pearl, by the inimitable San Francisco-based jeweler of yore - Marsh and Co. As a testament to the uncompromising work ethics of the artisans of yesteryear, the reverse of the brooch is thoroughly hand engraved and milgrained. This rare and collectable work of wearable art measures just over 2 inches high by 1 3/4 inches wide. This is an almost exact duplicate of our #50-1-4500, except that the leaf is oriented in the opposite direction (facing right) and the pearl is larger and the steel is blacker.

About Art Deco Jewelry

Sleek and modern, Art Deco design brought jewelry into the machine age. Yet these stylish pieces still found room for the fine forms and lines of previous eras within their elegant architecture. In particular, we see many peaceful co-habitations of Edwardian and Art Deco styles together.

Jewelry Care

As with anything of value, especially sentimental value, taking good care of your vintage and antique jewelry from Lang will enhance its beauty and extend its lifespan. We encourage you to have your jewelry checked and cleaned by us or by your trusted local jeweler every six months, to ensure that each piece is in good wearable condition with all gemstones in place. It’s not uncommon for stones to loosen over time, and it’s much easier to tighten a loose stone than to replace a lost one! As stated in our Repair Policy, we strongly recommend that you allow us to perform any repairs, since our jewelers are specialists in restoring vintage and antique jewelry.
