ABOUT THIS ACCESSORY

Part of the beauty of vintage and antique jewels is the story behind them. These impressive Mid-Century cuff links present lustrous soft green cabochon jades, held by distinctively designed hand-engraved gold prongs, and hail from Wook Moon's jewelry establishment, Ming's. First opened in 1940 in Hawaii, eventually there were Ming's locations in San Francisco and New York. According to a currently operating jeweler in Hawaii, his customers recall that Mr. Moon offered no-interest layaway for modestly paid downtown secretaries and office workers so that they could afford to buy a piece every now and then. A beautiful story indeed. Hand fabricated in 14K gold. Accompanied by a gemological report from Stone Group Laboratories stating: Natural. No indications of polymers or dyes. Myanmar (Burma) - origin.

About Mid-Century Jewelry

Mid-Century jewelers gave the Victorians a run for their money when it came to variety—with the added bonus of big, bold gems in every shape, size, and color. Themes of previous eras were made fabulous enough to match the optimism of the post-war world. Transitional pieces bridged the gap between the first and second half of the 20th century.

Jewelry Care

As with anything of value, especially sentimental value, taking good care of your vintage and antique jewelry from Lang will enhance its beauty and extend its lifespan. We encourage you to have your jewelry checked and cleaned by us or by your trusted local jeweler every six months, to ensure that each piece is in good wearable condition with all gemstones in place. It’s not uncommon for stones to loosen over time, and it’s much easier to tighten a loose stone than to replace a lost one! As stated in our Repair Policy, we strongly recommend that you allow us to perform any repairs, since our jewelers are specialists in restoring vintage and antique jewelry.
