ABOUT THIS RING

Hand fabricated in platinum over 18K yellow gold, circa 1910-20, this radiant rarity displays a transition in style between classic Victorian 5-stone band rings of the 19th century, and the bold geometric Art Deco aesthetic of the 1920s-30s. A central old mine cushion-cut diamond, weighing .35 carat, sparkles from within a harlequin setting, embellished with a small old mine-cut diamond on each corner, between stepped pairs of smaller old mine-cut diamonds set in square settings - bring the total diamond weight to 1.15 carats. Striking hand engraving on the side gallery adds the finishing flourish to this distinctive, original vintage engagement ring. Currently ring size 6.

About Art Deco Jewelry

Sleek and modern, Art Deco design brought jewelry into the machine age. Yet these stylish pieces still found room for the fine forms and lines of previous eras within their elegant architecture. In particular, we see many peaceful co-habitations of Edwardian and Art Deco styles together.

Jewelry Care

As with anything of value, especially sentimental value, taking good care of your vintage and antique jewelry from Lang will enhance its beauty and extend its lifespan. We encourage you to have your jewelry checked and cleaned by us or by your trusted local jeweler every six months, to ensure that each piece is in good wearable condition with all gemstones in place. It’s not uncommon for stones to loosen over time, and it’s much easier to tighten a loose stone than to replace a lost one! As stated in our Repair Policy, we strongly recommend that you allow us to perform any repairs, since our jewelers are specialists in restoring vintage and antique jewelry.
