From turn-of-the-last-century Limoges, France, a très jolie mademoiselle is artfully rendered in glossy, gleaming multi-colored enamel fancifully framed in an elongated golden heart culminating in a dancing lustrous freshwater pearl. Signed on the reverse by Limoges artist Jules Sarlandie, known for his pioneering technical skills in enamels. The French marks date the piece between 1847 and 1919. 1 3/4 by 1 1/8 inches. The beautiful young maiden suspends from an 18 inch chain.
