ABOUT THIS BROOCH

A striking amalgam of 1930s Art Deco and 1940s Retro styles coalesce in this spectacular brooch and double-clips combo artistically (and substantially) rendered in contrasting 15K pink and green gold (thus most likely of British origin). Overlaid by a platinum feather-like design that glitters with bright European and single cut diamonds, the geometric center sections are reminiscent of a pan flute or organ pipes and flare out in both directions in a dramatically stylized wing motif. A truly superb, versatile, chic and exceptionally unique vintage jewel. Total diamond weight, 1.10 carats. Just shy of 3 inches long.

About Retro Jewelry

Hollywood glam got creative during the war era, when strategic factors forced jewelers to do without certain materials. Rather than scale back, they took the streamlined shapes of the Art Deco and went big, bold, and gold with them! Retro power pieces segued from the Jazz Age to the Fabulous Fifties, creating many motifs of vintage jewelry along the way.

Jewelry Care

As with anything of value, especially sentimental value, taking good care of your vintage and antique jewelry from Lang will enhance its beauty and extend its lifespan. We encourage you to have your jewelry checked and cleaned by us or by your trusted local jeweler every six months, to ensure that each piece is in good wearable condition with all gemstones in place. It’s not uncommon for stones to loosen over time, and it’s much easier to tighten a loose stone than to replace a lost one! As stated in our Repair Policy, we strongly recommend that you allow us to perform any repairs, since our jewelers are specialists in restoring vintage and antique jewelry.
