ABOUT THIS RING

Hand-fabricated in platinum at the zenith of the Art Deco design period -circa 1925 - this classic 'cigar style' ring features a natural, no-heat cushion-cut sapphire of Pailin, Cambodian origin. Of all sapphires, the silken, velvety quality and cobalt blue hue of Pailin sapphires most resemble the rare, prized sapphires from Kashmir, and this enchanting gemstone is no exception. The 1.50 carat stone centers a low-profile, finger-hugging mounting adorned with delicately milgrained diamond-set ribbons accented with 6 fancy-cut sapphires and finished with decoratively pierced shoulders. An exceptional vintage beauty, too delicate, however, for everyday wear. Currently ring size 51/2, with sizing limited to one size up or down.

About Art Deco Jewelry

Sleek and modern, Art Deco design brought jewelry into the machine age. Yet these stylish pieces still found room for the fine forms and lines of previous eras within their elegant architecture. In particular, we see many peaceful co-habitations of Edwardian and Art Deco styles together.

Jewelry Care

As with anything of value, especially sentimental value, taking good care of your vintage and antique jewelry from Lang will enhance its beauty and extend its lifespan. We encourage you to have your jewelry checked and cleaned by us or by your trusted local jeweler every six months, to ensure that each piece is in good wearable condition with all gemstones in place. It’s not uncommon for stones to loosen over time, and it’s much easier to tighten a loose stone than to replace a lost one! As stated in our Repair Policy, we strongly recommend that you allow us to perform any repairs, since our jewelers are specialists in restoring vintage and antique jewelry.
