A true example of one of the classic styles attributed to the Retro period. Influenced by architecture, machinery and fashion, all taking place in America during World War II, designers created wonderful rings such as this one. The stepped arch shaped mounting, is crafted of 14 karat rose and green gold and features six cabochon rubies set in the center. Highlighting the vibrant, pinkish-red rubies, suggestive of Burma origin, are vintage diamonds set in petite platinum bezels. On each shoulder of the ring is a strip of platinum, flanked by green gold, which glistens with vintage diamonds.
