ABOUT THIS RING

The shining star of this glorious original Art Deco diamond engagement ring - circa 1930 - is a bright and beautiful European-cut diamond, weighing 3.30 carats. Although we've graded the diamond 'L' color, the superb cut of the stone gives it a much whiter appearance than usual. Additionally, the SI1 clarity grade is based on a relatively small colorless feather located way off to the side; thus the clarity of the stone is a borderline VS2. This mighty sparkler is presented in an exceptionally gorgeous solitaire-style setting, die-struck and hand finished in platinum and thoroughly adorned with small glittering diamonds, decorative piercework and calibre sapphire accents. A rare and radiant find.

About Art Deco Jewelry

Sleek and modern, Art Deco design brought jewelry into the machine age. Yet these stylish pieces still found room for the fine forms and lines of previous eras within their elegant architecture. In particular, we see many peaceful co-habitations of Edwardian and Art Deco styles together.

Jewelry Care

As with anything of value, especially sentimental value, taking good care of your vintage and antique jewelry from Lang will enhance its beauty and extend its lifespan. We encourage you to have your jewelry checked and cleaned by us or by your trusted local jeweler every six months, to ensure that each piece is in good wearable condition with all gemstones in place. It’s not uncommon for stones to loosen over time, and it’s much easier to tighten a loose stone than to replace a lost one! As stated in our Repair Policy, we strongly recommend that you allow us to perform any repairs, since our jewelers are specialists in restoring vintage and antique jewelry.
