.75 Carat Diamond Art Deco Engagement Ring
ABOUT THIS RING
A splendid original Art Deco engagement ring, crafted in platinum, circa 1930, sparkling front and center with a bright white and brilliant transitional European-cut diamond, weighing three-quarters-of-a-carat. The stone glistens from within a four-cornered setting between a pair of small, horizontally-set marquise diamonds, and is embellished north and south with scalloped, diamond-set borders. Fine millegraining accentuates the settings, and all around hand engraving (somewhat worn after about 85 years) adorns the currently size 6 ring shank.
