ABOUT THIS RING

Reminiscent of the color of chrome tourmaline, but considerably rarer, this glorious green zircon, weighing 8.50 carats, is featured in a gleaming 18k white gold ring framed with a halo of bright-white glittering diamonds, punctuated where the shank meets the crown with slightly tapered, bar-set, baguette-cut diamonds. Measuring 11/16 inch in length and 13/16 inch in width, this very special jewel makes a grand presentation. Green zircon is a favorite among serious collectors of rare gems. Sri Lanka is the best known source for green zircon. Specimens are also found in Burma, and may exist in other well-known zircon deposits located in Cambodia. Zircon crystals are the oldest known minerals on the planet, some dating over 4 billion years in age! Size 9 1/2.

About Mid-Century Jewelry

Mid-Century jewelers gave the Victorians a run for their money when it came to variety—with the added bonus of big, bold gems in every shape, size, and color. Themes of previous eras were made fabulous enough to match the optimism of the post-war world. Transitional pieces bridged the gap between the first and second half of the 20th century.

Jewelry Care

As with anything of value, especially sentimental value, taking good care of your vintage and antique jewelry from Lang will enhance its beauty and extend its lifespan. We encourage you to have your jewelry checked and cleaned by us or by your trusted local jeweler every six months, to ensure that each piece is in good wearable condition with all gemstones in place. It’s not uncommon for stones to loosen over time, and it’s much easier to tighten a loose stone than to replace a lost one! As stated in our Repair Policy, we strongly recommend that you allow us to perform any repairs, since our jewelers are specialists in restoring vintage and antique jewelry.
