Antique Pearl and Diamond Negligee Necklace

ABOUT THIS NECKLACE
From the Edwardian period - circa 1900 - comes this very lovely and unusual 'negligee' style necklace featuring a sparkling old mine-cut diamond and a lustrous natural button pearl. Normally, the precious pair would be swinging freely back-and-forth, however, this precursor to the modern Art Deco style to come is composed of a one-piece platinum-topped knife wire which swings from a tiny diamond on top. The pendant measures 1 inch long; the original platinum chain measures 16 inches.
