Antique Style 1.04 Carat Cushion-Cut Diamond Platinum Ring GIA F VS2
ABOUT THIS RING
Dating back to the first or second decade of the twentieth century, the top element of this fabulous finger-hugger highlights a stunning, scintillating, ultra-sparkling center stone: a cushion-cut diamond, weighing 1.04 carats and accompanied by a GIA Diamond Grading Report stating: F color - VS2 clarity. The icy-white diamond is elegantly embellished all around with an ornate open scroll design, further enlivened with small glittering single-cut diamonds, all of which are accentuated with thorough decorative hand engraving in enduring neoclassical style. The gallery and shank are later additions and the diamond has been cut to modern proportions. The ring came to us like this and our hunch is the original ring was restored by adding a new gallery and shank and re-cutting a chipped diamond. Currently ring size 5.
