A majestic royal-blue cushion-cut sapphire, weighing 2.74 carats (but presenting somewhat larger due to a masterful lapidary), and accompanied by an American Gemological Laboratory certificate stating: Natural Corundum, No gemological evidence of heat, Origin: Cambodia (Pailin), radiates from within an 18 karat yellow gold mounting magnificently adorned with hand-pierced scrollwork. We repolished the sapphire and reset it in its original, and relatively understated, Victorian-era mounting. A truly stunning, splendid and regal jewel,in a finger size 6 1/2.
