Old mine-cut diamonds have a special sparkle. Dating back to the time when diamonds were cut and polished by hand, they have a softer appearance than modern diamonds and a unique fire that is particularly captivating in candlelight - let alone sunlight! This lovely and luminous early-Victorian-era beauty effervesces at its center with a gorgeous bright-white 2.04 carat stone, accompanied by a GIA Grading Report stating: G color - SI2 clarity, encircled by smaller old mine-cut diamonds set atop a slender ribbed shank with elegant split shoulders. Total diamond weight, 2.94 carats. Hand fabricated in silver over 18K gold - circa late-19th century. Currently ring size 6.
