Art Deco 1.00 Carat Diamond and Sapphire* Engagement Ring - GIA M VS1
ABOUT THIS RING
A rare sighting! A pair of platinum butterflies have alighted on the sides of this spectacular Art Deco engagement ring. Dating back to the 1920s, this remarkable Jazz Age jewel features a beautiful, bright and shining 1.00 carat European-cut diamond. The scintillating stone is strikingly accented on the scrolled shoulders by four midnight blue synthetic* sapphires followed by a pair of glittering European cut diamonds and a handful small single cut stones. Masterful decorative piercing and delicate milgraining add the finishing flourishes to this distinctively chic, sophisticated, and stunning treasure. Currently ring size 5 1/2. Accompanied by a GIA Diamond Grading Report stating: M color - VS1 clarity. *Back in the day, circa 1920s-30s, due to their uniformity of color and flawless clarity, synthetic sapphires were considered a modern improvement over their natural counterparts, their virtually undetectable differences discernible only with a microscope.
