ABOUT THIS RING

The Art Deco aesthetic, whether expressed in architecture, furniture, or jewelry, is a harmonious interplay of lines, curves, and symmetry, and this distinctively designed ring is exemplary of the enduring style. Blazing at its center is a 1.27 carat European-cut diamond (appearing larger in its cornered prong setting) aided in sparkle east and west by a sparkling marquise diamond, and above and beneath by rectangular and navette shapes set with glittering single-cuts. The arresting assemblage creates a striking negative space pattern that complements the design, while milgrain edging throughout and engraving on the shoulders add texture and detail. Total diamond weight, 1.59 carats. Hand fabricated in platinum and 14K white gold (sizing piece at the back of the shank). Circa 1920s-30s. Currently ring size 7 3/4. Digital GIA Grading Report available stating: I color - VS1 clarity. Condition note: side diamonds show wear commensurate with the age of the piece.

How to Pair Your Wedding Band

You found your ideal, beautiful, one-of-a-kind antique or vintage engagement ring… and then realized that you need a wedding band to go with it. Pairing the two can be tricky, since vintage engagement rings rarely come with matching bands, and many modern bands don’t accommodate vintage shapes and designs. So we created a line of vintage-style wedding bands, modeled after original pieces from our collection.

About Art Deco Jewelry

Sleek and modern, Art Deco design brought jewelry into the machine age. Yet these stylish pieces still found room for the fine forms and lines of previous eras within their elegant architecture. In particular, we see many peaceful co-habitations of Edwardian and Art Deco styles together.

Jewelry Care

As with anything of value, especially sentimental value, taking good care of your vintage and antique jewelry from Lang will enhance its beauty and extend its lifespan. We encourage you to have your jewelry checked and cleaned by us or by your trusted local jeweler every six months, to ensure that each piece is in good wearable condition with all gemstones in place. It’s not uncommon for stones to loosen over time, and it’s much easier to tighten a loose stone than to replace a lost one! As stated in our Repair Policy, we strongly recommend that you allow us to perform any repairs, since our jewelers are specialists in restoring vintage and antique jewelry.
