ABOUT THIS RING

Located in the northwestern corner of the Indian subcontinent, the region of Kashmir has gifted the world with the most stunning, highly-valued and coveted sapphires. The very finest display an extraordinary royal/cobalt blue color and a velvety appearance produced by their silk inclusions. Exceptional Kashmir sapphires are so scarce that they rarely appear at even the most high-end auctions. We have a true gem, and it casts its glorious glowing color at the center of this masterfully crafted Art Deco ring from the 1920s. The splendid 1.74 carat stone, accented east and west with a lively European-cut diamond and a dash of deep blue calibre sapphires, sits atop an artfully pierced hand-fabricated platinum mounting frosted with small glittering European cuts. Pairs of diamonds on the shoulders and millegrain edging throughout add the final design details to this rare, ravishing, and resplendent jewel. Total diamond weight, .60 carat. Accompanied by a gemological report from America Gemological Laboratories (AGL) stating: No heat, Kashmir - origin. Currently ring size 6.

About Art Deco Jewelry

Sleek and modern, Art Deco design brought jewelry into the machine age. Yet these stylish pieces still found room for the fine forms and lines of previous eras within their elegant architecture. In particular, we see many peaceful co-habitations of Edwardian and Art Deco styles together.

Jewelry Care

As with anything of value, especially sentimental value, taking good care of your vintage and antique jewelry from Lang will enhance its beauty and extend its lifespan. We encourage you to have your jewelry checked and cleaned by us or by your trusted local jeweler every six months, to ensure that each piece is in good wearable condition with all gemstones in place. It’s not uncommon for stones to loosen over time, and it’s much easier to tighten a loose stone than to replace a lost one! As stated in our Repair Policy, we strongly recommend that you allow us to perform any repairs, since our jewelers are specialists in restoring vintage and antique jewelry.
