Art Deco .43 Carat Diamond and Sapphire Engagement Ring - GIA F SI1
ABOUT THIS RING
The crowning glory of this dazzling dome (or bombé)-shaped Art Deco delight is an icy-white .43 carat transitional European-cut/round brilliant-cut diamond. The scintillating stone beams brightly from within a two-tiered octagonal setting accented on each side by triangular sapphires, and embellished all around with decorative hand piercing and a half-dozen tiny twinkling single-cut diamonds. A hand-engraved acanthus leaf pattern on the upper ring shank adds the finishing touch to this jubilant Jazz Age jewel. Total diamond weight, .61 carat. Hand fabricated in platinum, circa 1920s-30s. Currently ring size 5. Accompanied by a GIA Diamond Grading Report stating: F color - SI clarity.
