Empty space is not particulary impressive--unless it is used with creative flair. This stunning Art Deco jewel draws attention to the gloriously sparkling .49 carat European-cut center diamond not with other stones, but with crisp dashes of negative space, all in a magnificent filigree surround glittering with bright single-cut diamonds. Milgrain edging and exquisite engraving on the shank add the finishing flourishes to this wondrous work of art. Total diamond weight, .55 carat. Die-struck in 18K gold, currently ring size 8.
