Art Deco .58 Carat Diamond and Sapphire Engagement Ring
ABOUT THIS RING
Quintessential Art Deco design at its finest and most striking is exemplified in this fabulous finger-hugger from the 1920s. A bright and shining bezel-set European-cut diamond, weighing .58 carat, floats in the center of a gently curved band ring surrounded by small sparkling European-cut and single-cut diamonds. However, the unassuming star attraction of this fabulous finger-hugger are the stylized stirrup motifs composed of slender, royal blue buff-top sapphires (one is synthetic). A diamond-set upper ring shank adds the finishing flourish to this Frenchy (although unmarked) Jazz Age jewel. Signed CB. Total diamond weight - .83 carat, total sapphire weight - .40 carat. Hand fabricated in platinum, currently ring size 6 1/2.
