Art Deco .58 Carat Diamond and Synthetic Sapphire Ring - GIA G VS2
ABOUT THIS RING
In this consummate Jazz Age jewel, a bright icy-white European-cut diamond, weighing .58 carat, scintillates from within a bezel-setting atop a chic and stunning Art Deco mounting, die-struck and hand finished in platinum - circa 1920. The virtually pristine ring is appointed throughout with refined neoclassical details, including decorative piercing, delicate milgraining, four tiny twinkling single-cut diamonds, a pair of triangular synthetic* sapphires, and a thoroughly hand-engraved ring shank. Total diamond weight, .54 carat. Accompanied by a GIA Diamond Grading Report stating: G color - VS2 clarity. Currently ring size 6 1/4. *Back in the day, circa 1920s-30s, due to their uniformity of color and flawless clarity, synthetic sapphires were considered a modern improvement over their natural counterparts, their virtually undetectable differences only discernible with a microscope.
