ABOUT THIS RING
A beautiful bright-white European-cut/ transitional round brilliant-cut diamond, weighing .80 carat and accompanied by a GIA Diamond Grading Report stating: I color - VS1 clarity, sparkles solo from within a consummate Art Deco solitaire engagement ring. Hand fabricated and hand engraved in platinum, circa 1930s. The maker's mark indicates by Maurice Tishman*. Currently ring size 6 1/2.
*Maurice Tishman was born in New York in 1887 and started his career as a jeweler in 1907. After having served in World War I, he opened his manufacturing shop in New York in the 1920s on Fifth Ave. In his small shop, Maurice Tishman produced many individually designed fine pieces of jewelry until his death in 1955 at the age of 68.
