This Art Deco ring, hand-fabricated with lavish detail, represents the period's association of art and modern industry, evident in everything from architecture to jewelry. In iconic Deco fashion, the center stone, a scintillating .82-carat European-cut diamond, is set in a millegrain-edged octagonal setting and accentuated by double arcs of single-cut diamonds and pops of bright blue synthetic* sapphires. The jewel's finely engraved shank leads to flared shoulders, each twinkling with a single diamond that centers a shield shape. A wearable mini history lesson about an era whose aesthetic is as fresh and captivating today as it was nearly 100 years ago. Total diamond weight, 1.07 carats. Hand fabricated in platinum, it is currently ring size 6 1/4. *Original to the piece and period, synthetic sapphires were used for their flawless clarity and color consistency.
