ABOUT THIS RING

Original Art Deco diamond engagement rings dating back to the zenith of the Art Deco period (circa 1925), with this dramatic composition of gemstone accents are rare finds. And this one is as cool as they come. The stunning ring stars a bright and shining .88 carat European-cut diamond, framed at the corners with glossy black calibre onyx, and north and south with arcs of vibrant red, seamlessly-set calibre rubies (one replacement stone is synthetic). Artfully sculpted and decoratively pierced diamond-set shoulders add extra sparkle, while graceful open scroll work adorns the side gallery and a hand-engraved herringbone pattern finishes the upper ring shank. A truly superb and exceptionally striking Jazz Age jewel. Total diamond weight - 1.21 carats, total ruby weight - .65 carat. Currently ring size 5 3/4+ (limited re-sizing).

About Art Deco Jewelry

Sleek and modern, Art Deco design brought jewelry into the machine age. Yet these stylish pieces still found room for the fine forms and lines of previous eras within their elegant architecture. In particular, we see many peaceful co-habitations of Edwardian and Art Deco styles together.

Jewelry Care

As with anything of value, especially sentimental value, taking good care of your vintage and antique jewelry from Lang will enhance its beauty and extend its lifespan. We encourage you to have your jewelry checked and cleaned by us or by your trusted local jeweler every six months, to ensure that each piece is in good wearable condition with all gemstones in place. It’s not uncommon for stones to loosen over time, and it’s much easier to tighten a loose stone than to replace a lost one! As stated in our Repair Policy, we strongly recommend that you allow us to perform any repairs, since our jewelers are specialists in restoring vintage and antique jewelry.
