Art Deco .96 Carat Diamond Engagement Ring - GIA J VS1 by Lambert Brothers
10-1-13981
ABOUT THIS RING
Founded in 1877 by Italian jeweler August Lambert and his brother, Lambert Brothers is one of the oldest jewelry companies in America, and this rare and resplendent ring is exemplary of their superb craftsmanship. It also presents a bit of mystery. Scintillating at its center with a lively .96 carat round brilliant-cut diamond held by triple claw prongs, and accented on the shoulders with tiny twinkling single cuts, the jewel is crafted in both 18K gold and palladium. The mystery? Palladium was first used in jewelry in 1938, yet the ring is inscribed with, "J.F.P to A.K. Nov 28, 1931." Perhaps the engraving commemorates an earlier memorable moment--love at first sight, nuptials, an anniversary--and the ring was purchased and presented later. The possible story behind this beauty is whatever your imagination fancies. Total diamond weight, 1.01 carats. Currently ring size 5 1/2.
