A truly majestic gemstone, a 3.80 carat pear-shaped opal from the famed Lightening Ridge mines of Australia, assumes rightful center of attention in this chic, sophisticated, and stunning Art Deco pendant necklace dating back to the zenith of the period, circa 1925-30. The enchanting opal, set in a finely milgrained bezel, displays a magnificent show of electrically charged rainbow colors--predominately blues and greens, with flashing orange and yellow highlights--beautifully enhanced by a distinctive geometric frame sparkling with bright European-cut diamonds, punctuated by gleaming white baguettes. Total diamond weight, 1.75 carats. Hand-fabricated in lustrous platinum, the pendant suspends from a new 16-inch chain. Bonus! *This remarkable Jazz Age jewel is from the estate of a renowned A-list Hollywood actor (only to be revealed upon purchase ;). Condition note: the opal has crazing (cracks due to water loss).
