ABOUT THESE EARRINGS

Formerly a pair of cuff links, we've converted these very cool Art Deco jewels into freely swinging and much more noticeable drop earrings. Crafted in platinum over 14K yellow gold during the 1920s, the oval discs radiate with intricate engine engraving around a pair of rich royal blue, high-domed (aka sugarloaf) sapphires. A chic transformation. 3/4 inch long (they drop a bit further from the ear wires). Made in Newark New Jersey by Huger & Co. Wm.

About Art Deco Jewelry

Sleek and modern, Art Deco design brought jewelry into the machine age. Yet these stylish pieces still found room for the fine forms and lines of previous eras within their elegant architecture. In particular, we see many peaceful co-habitations of Edwardian and Art Deco styles together.

Jewelry Care

As with anything of value, especially sentimental value, taking good care of your vintage and antique jewelry from Lang will enhance its beauty and extend its lifespan. We encourage you to have your jewelry checked and cleaned by us or by your trusted local jeweler every six months, to ensure that each piece is in good wearable condition with all gemstones in place. It’s not uncommon for stones to loosen over time, and it’s much easier to tighten a loose stone than to replace a lost one! As stated in our Repair Policy, we strongly recommend that you allow us to perform any repairs, since our jewelers are specialists in restoring vintage and antique jewelry.
